Yonkers Animal Hospital

Took my mom's dog, Zoey to be put down here. The front desk girl was very compassionate and helped me fill out the necessary forms. The doctor was understanding and helped carry Zoey into the office since he could no longer walk. The procedure was quick and Zoey passed away peacefully. I know her last moments were in great and capable hands.

I have been coming here forever. My whole family comes here. Every doctor at this hospital has cared for my dog, Mister, from time to time and I trust each and every one. Mister has diabetes and this can be an expensive illness.

Very caring staff. On point. They won't steer you in the wrong direction. Always answers your questions without no matter what it is. Thank you YAH....

I am a new client at Yonkers and a new pet owner as well. I just recently adopted a lab puppy and had no clue about anything. After calling the hospital to make an appointment the girl on the phone gave me the info I needed to get started. Then, once I actually went to the appointment, I felt instantly at home in the warm and friendly atmosphere of the office. The people in the waiting room talk to each other and swap stories while they wait for their appointment. The office staff has conversations with regular clients and really seem like they have taken the time to truly make this place feel like you are part of the family. The doctor who did the exam was patient with my questions and really gave me some helpful tips on raising a well-rounded puppy.

My Pomeranian Chichi has an anxiety problem. I went to other places for this same problem and nothing was helping. Chichi would not stop barking and I was at my wits ends. A friend recommended this office and the doctor that I saw gave me a calming collar and some tips on how to make chichi a bit more confident. It took about a month but the results have been astonishing. Chichi no longer barks for hours on end when I am not home. My neighbors have finally stopped complaining to me. I am so happy and grateful. Thank you Yonkers Animal Hospital.

My cat, Cliff has been coming to the hospital since he was a kitten. I always had a pleasant experience with every person in the office until recently i only had to bring Cliff in for shots and nail clips. Last week, Cliff's ear swelled up and I called the office asking to come in for an appointment because I thought he had an ear infection. I called and the young lady on the phone advised me I should come as soon as possible because it did not sound like an ear infection to her. Turns out Cliff had a hematoma and needed surgery to drain the blood that pooled in his ear. The surgery was reasonanly priced and Cliff was home two days later. Cliff is now doing fine and had it not been for the girl on the phone urging me to come in, cliff would not have gotten the treatment he needed as fast as he did.

This is a busy office, very busy but they are great! Appointments are not typically hard to get and you never feel rushed once you are here. The doctors really get to know you and your pet. the technicians handle with great caare and proficiency. A great experience, each and every time.

New to the area and was recommended to come here by my new neighbor. she said the prices were reasonable and she was right. i was abole tto get an exam and they treated her like aprincess. As staff walked thru room they would smile and say "hello" to me and Fifi

I brought my dog Porkchop in for a groom last week and the results were tremendous. My dog's hair was matted and the groomer was able to make him look like a show dog. he shaved the matts off and left Porkchop smelling fresh and clean. The office staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

The office staff is terrific. the office is always packed and the receptionists are still able to give attention to both the clients in office and over the phone. Sometimes the wait is long to be seen but it is well worth wait

I had to put my precious cat down two months ago. Sadie-Mae was 17 years old and had been a patient of Yonkers Animal Hospital for 12 years. Sadie had congestive heart failure with fluid in her chest and week after week for months, she would have to have the fluid removed. The doctors kept the prices low and kept Sadie comfortable for her remaining time.

I have to male pit bulls that are slightly appressive because they guard my auto shop in the Bronx. I was afraid that they wouldn't be able to handle them because of the aggression issues, but the staff put me in a private room that had its own side door enterance and was swiftly able to maintain control. My two boys were treated kindly and they were given their shots with ease. The doctors and technicians are well versed in handling difficult and aggressive animals. I will be back!

The doctors at Yonkers Animal Hospital are amazing. My cat, Zippy ate chicken bones and the doctors immediately took action when I brought him in. He was only two months old at that time and they had to perform surgery. They saved his life and now he is living happy and healthy.

Dr. Howell was so knowledgable. Was very satisfied with my first visit with my dog. He really cares and pays close attention to each animal he examines. However, the two young receptionists were very rude and laughed in my face when they offered me the option to pay my full bill on Friday when I get paid. People should respect that not everyone is a thief. I did not want to see my dog suffer until Friday when I could afford it, it's not fair to him to be in pain. This was explained on the phone when the appointment was made . Really showed a lack of professionalism to a really great doctor.
