Garrett’s team came to install NEMA 14-50 today at my parents’ house. Great job on the installation! Very efficient, professional and courteous. Answered all my questions. Garrett even found a faulty circuit breaker in the electric panel box and helped us fix it for free. Talk about great services!!! I would definitely recommend Trout Electric for all your electrical needs.

I used Trout Electric to upgrade my electrical panel on my residential home from a 100 amp to a 200 amp service as well as numerous exterior lighting and fan connections in my barn. Not only were his employees very professional and friendly but they showed up on time and completed the work on time and on budget. I will definitely use Trout Electrical again and highly recommend this company.

I have have used Trout electric on several occasions for different jobs and projects. They always are prompt and do great work. I heartily recommend using them and will use them myself again as needs may arise.

I wanted to extend my honest opinion to those reading these reviews to help you with your choices. I had a tenant who hired an electrician to come out and put 220 in for a dryer he wanted to hook up. The guy did an absolutely horrible job and it red flagged me and I was very concerned with the whole thing. I called and spoke with Matt and he ended up coming out to the property in La Quinta, and went over everything in the panel box, the laundry room, garage, and attic space above the garage. He found many issues with the circuits all being overloaded, a sliced wire in the laundry room outlet that was just installed, a cracked breaker that was just installed, and much more. Bottom line, all the work that was done was a nightmare and bad fire hazard. Matt explained things to me as he went and so I could understand completely what he was talking about and also offered to explain things to the tenants, and did...which set my mind at ease. He had to take out all the faulty wiring and restore everything to the way it had been before all the damage to my walls and breaker box had been done. He and his helper were very kind, very efficient and prompt arrival on the job. Now I can sleep at night...and I owe it all to Matt! This is no made up story...this is the real deal. Thank you for your help and you are one in a million! Restored my faith in some humans, which is priceless. Come to find out btw, I just ran the license on the former electrician...I had been told he was a master electrician, his license is inactive and he is not able to contract at this time. Hasn't been since 2009! Hmmmm. Uninsured also. Glad this was able to all be corrected by Matt :)

I'm not one to write online reviews, but I felt this was a perfect time to start. I called last night because part of my house had no power. They told me they could have someone out within an hour. Sure enough, the technician was at my house within 45 min. To sum it up, my issue was fixed in a very reasonable amount of time, everything was explained to me before the repair was done and the price was very fair. Actually it was less than I was anticipating. So needless to say, my experience with this company was excellent. If I ever have electrical issues again, I will definitely call them. Thanks guys

I called Trout Electric Sunday and was quoted on the Phone for around 500 dollars. Monday Steve came to add a 30Amp dryer outlet for our house but it was estimated at around $800+, so Steve talked to the boss and got it down to $700. But it would cost almost such much as a Gas Dryer so we were going to just sale the electric dryer and get a new gas dryer. Then I had Steve look at another issue with an outside outlet and went ahead to have it a diagnosis for $199. Steve found that the outlet in the garage is connected to the two outdoor outlets but there was an issue with the last outlet where there were not enough power going to the last outlet and that initially a GFCI outlet was in the garage but it was taking out probably because the bad outlet was tripping it. So to restore the outlet we need to fix the power line. Circuit restoration cost an additional $657. Talked to Steve about the installing a GFCI outlet back into the garage because Steve had said that the original was probably removed and changed to a regular outlet because of the faulty line causing the GFCI to trip in the first place. Steve said he’ll talk to the boss about adding that GFCI outlet back to the garage at the $856 price (Diagnosis + Circuit Restoration). After some reconsideration, we decided to have Steve add the 30Amp dryer outlet. But since we were getting one of the circuits restored and adding the dryer outlet, the total cost would be $1450. I wrote the check and left it with the sister in law to give it to Steve when he finished. Went to the bank and came back and Steve was already gone. I went to check and there were no GFCI outlet installed in the garage where one should be to protect the two outside outlets in case of water or such.



I called Trout Electric and talked to Matt (The one that answered the phone) and explained that Steve was going to get the GFCI installed but there was none. So he said that when Matt get back in he’ll have Steve called me back. Steve called me back and told me that he didn’t installed the GFCI outlet because we have a freezer in there so if we installed it the GFCI may trip in the future, and if we do not notice, the food in there will turn bad. Also that if he were to came back to install it, it would be an additional $98 because the boss didn’t allow him to install the GFCI outlet in the garage and that he was going to tell me that if I was home at the time.



But what I believe happened was that Steve forgot to install the GFCI outlet in the garage or ask the boss after he went to work on the 30Amp Dryer outlet. But even if the boss didn’t allow the addition of the GFCI outlet, Steve could have called to see if I wanted the GFCI outlet at the additional price. So I feel that it was because Steve didn't want to come back to add the GFCI. I guess next time one must check to make sure everything was done before handing the check over.



Updated: Matt called and came to add the GFCI outlet so that we are protected outside for the two outlets and also gave us an extra outlet in the garage so that our freeze will still be on even if the GFCI trip to protect the two outside outlets. I am very satisfy with Trout Electric.

Trout was professional, reasonable, & went above a beyond for us. We'd recommend this company to all of our clients that need electrical work in Real Estate!

Garrett, Mark and Dillon just finished up installing the wiring, joists and boxes for four ceiling fans in my bedrooms and a pot rack in the kitchen and did an outstanding job.

When I originally called Matt, he said they would be out on Tuesday between 3 & 5 to do a quote. Garrett and Mark showed up right at 3. They quickly assessed my needs and gave me a quote on the spot. They said they could do the installation on Friday at 7:30.

Friday at 7:30 they were there and ready to work. They quickly got the four fans installed with absolutely no damage or holes in my drywall. They then got to work on the pot rack and knocked it out. They also did some troubleshooting on a couple of outlets and a light fixture. All of this without a single complaint and this was on a day that it was 95 degrees. They cleaned the house up and even provided me some recommendations and quotes on some additional work. This is what I call service.
Matt you have just gained a loyal customer based off of these guys professionalism and work.

Steve came over to my house to install come security cameras, and to replace 3 light fixtures. The prices are very fair, and the service is even better. This company if very patient with questions you have, and are always friendly. I don't like dealing with contractors, but this one is a true exception.

I was in a need for an electrician and I came across Trout Electric. I was please with all the good reviews I decided to give them a call. They were prompt, professional and honest. I had problems with my breaker and Matt offered me two options and of course I went with the lesser of the two for now. When I'm ready for option two guess who I,ll be calling? These guys are great! By far the most professional and efficient electricians in the Southern California Area! GARRETT and MARK are truly Master Electricians. They located the problem immediately and knew the best way to resolve the issue. An it was definitely a big problem. The entire panel needed to be replace. My house is almost 45 years old so it was definitely overdue.



Whenever your dealing with contractors or home improvement techs you always get this feeling that you could get cheated or they could add more problems to your existing ones to pump up the bill. Not With Garrett and Mark. Super Honest and definitely No Non Sense type Electricians is what you get.



We had a different electrician come in the day before an he pretty much gave us the classic run around. He was charging us the same amount we paid with Trout as his plans was to only change a couple breakers plus the install of our separate line which is for our electric charge station for our car. An to make things even worse that electrician didn't even want to relocate the charger to our comfortable desired location.

Not with Trout Electric though! Garrett and Mark made sure to let us know they can locate the charge station anywhere we want! They rerouted that line exactly to the location we wished for! An like I said earlier that their Master Electricians you could also add Masters at Carpentry to the list! They made our charge station look better than the ones you would see at the MALL!



I thought with the huge job they had to overcome at my house, it would of took at least a 8-10 hour job. Not with these guys, they got it done it less than 4 hours. Fast, really clean and neatly done. Super efficient!

I had a few electrical outlets that were not working. I had tried to flip the breaker back on a few times and the breaker wouldn't stick.



I looked on Yelp and YP to find good reviews on an electrician and found Trout Electric. I gave them a call and they were at my front door in a couple of hours. They explained to me their fee to look into the problem beyond just looking at it.



They found that my panel was burnt and that my panel was not UL listed due to age. They explained to me the repairs needed to get me to code and gave me the cost.



They explained to me that the repair would be covered by my home owners insurance and assured me that they would help me submit the claim.



The work they performed was very good. The box and the wiring look great. They got my electrical up to code including all the proper grounding.



They referred me to a stucco guy who came buy and repaired the stucco the next day. He did such a good job that you can't tell that there was any work done other than the new electrical box and mast.



The day after that the city came out and approved the work and signed the permit. He made the comment that Trout did a good job and everything looked great.



As far as the Homeowner insurance goes, it has been a little like pulling teeth with the insurance company trying to get answers. However, Matt Trout, the owner of Trout Electrical has been working hard calling my insurance company and explaining to them the extent of the repairs and the reason for the repairs. He has called them as much as I have and has followed through with updates. It's great to have a company who will stand by their work and their words and be such a strong advocate even after you have paid them.



With the great workmanship and outstanding customer service, I would strongly recommend Trout Electric to friends, family, and strangers.
