Smile Design Dental Center

I went in to have a root canal. I was having pain long after the procedure. I went to a new dentist later and they left plastic 2 plastic shards down along the roots of the tooth. The new dentist pulled them out and the pain went away. I believe they were left in intentionally by Smile Design... they were trying to get me to buy expensive bridge work.

I was VERY happy with my visits to Smile Design Dental Center. I was a little reluctant since I saw a few bad reviews, but in the last year, I've had 6 visits and I was very happy with all of them. Or as happy as one could be for someone drilling holes in their mouth and asking for money for the "service". But on a serious note, the prices were low, the dentist was friendly and very patient. and the quality of work was good I'm a notoriously difficult patient and have a lot of trouble with my teeth. I've also traveled for work quite a but and have been to 6 different dentists in the past 7 years. So I have good amount of comparison material, and I can say without a doubt that Smile Design is one of the best.

I went a couple of times and it was fine, but the last time I went was horrible! They did a fluoride treatment on me, that I would NEVER get, without asking. Plus my insurance did not pay for it so I had to out of pocket.



Then Dr. Devlin told me I needed a root canal. I have never had issues with my teeth so I got a second opinion on this. My new dentist said that it is absolutely crazy to give me a root canal since all I had was a tiny cavity, which he filled.



My new dentist said that he has heard about things like this happening there before. I did not even tell him who it was, he guessed! I will never go back and truly feel that they are money hungry and that is just sad. The office staff was very nice though, so that is unfortunate.

Beware of the scam! Went to the office for a first time client special of $59 for a teeth cleaning, since I did not have dental insurance for a few months. The people on the phone were so friendly and helpful and explained that the $59 covers x-rays, cleaning, and an exam. After being in the office for 2 hours not only did I not receive a teeth cleaning, they tried to over charge me! There is a reason why they do the exam first before the teeth cleaning, because they don't plan on cleaning your teeth that day! They set you up and told me I would need a more "thorough cleaning" and it would cost more than a regular cleaning, so I had a "treatment plan". My "treatment plan" was over 2 grand.

My teeth have been cleaned EVERY six months with no skipping for years! They also told me I had four cavities that needed filled. How in 6 months do I have really dirty teeth and 4 cavities out of nowhere? Never going back. Shysters!
