Nu Vela Laser and Vein Center

I had been thinking about taking care of my spider veins for years but was afraid. You see, I had previously had quite a bad experience a few years ago with Sclerotherapy. I had seen a dermatologist who treated me with injections that were honestly quite painful, had no lasting effect, and I was left with brown staining on my legs that took a year to fade away. Well, a close friend of mine had an altogether different experience at Nu Vela , and urged me to go and check it out.



My initial meeting with Dr. “D” as he is known, went very well. I figured I would give him a chance. His sclero treatment experience was altogether different than what I had seen in the past. MINIMAL discomfort, VERY effective and FAST healing. Everyone tells you, you need several sclero treatments to get good results. I tell you, 3 weeks after only one treatment session, the veins were already more than 80% gone, without any skin pigmentation . After the second session, ZIP , NADA, I can’t believe it, they are all gone. I LOVE IT!!!. You have to check him out if you are like me looking for someone skillful and trustworthy doctor. He even gave me a copy of my before and after pictures. That was nice.

I first went to Nu Vela Esthetica about eight years ago for treatment of unsightly veins. Later, I had numerous other treatments, such as botox, Restalyne, lazer skin treatmens, and so forth. Over the years, I have been extremely pleased with the way my procedure was handled as well as with the results. Why go to a clinic where you are seen by a technician when you can see Dr. Dishjakian, a skilled physician who knows what he is doing? His office has always been up front about fees with me. Definitely worth it!!

Lied to. I found this business through Google search looking for some help with varicose veins. On the phone I was told that the initial consult is free and that the EVLT procedure is between $1,500-$2,500. With that information I headed to my appointment. The consultation is not free, they charge $200, for what they say is the ultrasound involved in the initial consult. Most other places I called charge $150 for the initial consult. After the ultrasound, I was told my procedure would be $2,500. When asked why not $1,500, the doctor mentioned that I had varicose veins, and not spider veins, and therefor at the higher price range. Not sure why a price range is given, when $2,500 is the automatic charge for the EVLT varicose vein treatment. I would not recommend. As an aside, I did not see any medical diplomas on the walls in the office.

I never thought I would say going to a doctor was a pleasant experience but it was. For one who is afraid of needles I never thought I would sit there for an hour while be injected with needles. The doctor made the experience pleasant. He used the thinnest needles so that I barely felt anything. He plays calming music so that you can relax while the procedure is taking place. And of cousre the end results were worth it.
