Hiland Toyota Body Shop

Incompetent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Charged for work they did not do. Did not know how to repair properly. I wish I had taken my car to a body shop with a better reputation.

Last August my car was t-boned in the Target (Elmore, Dav) parking-lot. The damage was extensive ($8,000) and my car undriveable. Unfortunately, to add to all the stress and aggravation I made the colossal mistake of having Hiland Toyota do the repairs. The manager Bob is one of the most incompetent people I've had the misfortune to deal with and the job kept getting delayed repeatedly. Calls were rarely returned, repair parts weren't ordered in time or misplaced it was ridiculous. It came to the point where I had to enlist my insurance agent to get things even done. Statefarm by the way doesn't not recommend Hiland Toyota and for good reason!



Eventually, when I got my car back after over a month, I found that some parts were missing, and some were not properly installed and loose. One of the doors rattled and vibrated (even visibly so) upon closing, glued parts came off, it was a disaster. I had to take my car back for another round.



Now, a year after the repair I seeing problems arise on my car and I am afraid because it's only what I can see. The damage to the vehicle included a broken centerpole. What if the structural repair on the car is as bad as the exterior?



When I recounted the experience at the Hiland Toyota service shop, the service men looked at each other and told me that they've heard this all before. Clearly they were used to it.



In short, I would strongly dissuade anyone from taking their car to Hiland Toyota for repairs. The service part of the company is great but the collision repair is an embarrassment to the Hiland name as far as I have experienced and clearly as far as their own service department has heard and seen.
