I accidentally smashed my undercarriage on a curb and really messed up my drive shaft. I had many errands to run that day and didn't know what to do. Before panic started to settle in I asked my GPS where there was a car shop nearby and was fatefully directed to Jim’s Automotive. I was eternally grateful where I ended up because I was promptly on my way. I was afraid that I had ruined my car and needed a new drive shaft and who knows what else. Jim and his team were able to quickly take off, grind, hammer, heat and repair my car as I relaxed and gathered myself in the guest waiting area. Even the repairs were cheaper than I had presumed. They treated me like a family member in need. I will not ever forget it. Check them out at Jimsautomotive dot com.

The front office staff is always quick to answer the phone with a professional attitude. They call back right away with useful information, time frames and relays the correct information to the shop as to what the next task is. Always has a great, fast fun and friendly attitude. His main office staff is another driving force to be recognized as an asset to Jim’s shop. He has one of the best logistical minds on the market, very efficient at ordering the correct part at the right price. Always follows up on where the part you need is. outstanding service!

The gentlemen at Jim’s Automotive are always promptly ready to get down to business and make sure their guests are taken care of. They have a very clean and warm environment inside the guest waiting area as well as a maintained clean and healthy shop. A clean shop is a happy shop.

This shop is a RIP OFF! They were trying to charge me almost $1,200 to replace the fuel pump on my 2001 GMC Yukon saying the part was $450(which is only $175) and takes 5 hours of labor to change at $110/hr. It takes no more than 2 hours to change, you just need to drop the gas tanks, unscrew couple screws, replace, and you're done! They also tried to change other parts that are working fine.

I ended up taking my car back to another mechanic which cost me only $450 for parts and labor. I was very upset because they didnt want to give me my car back until I paid them 1 hour of labor $117.50. Avoid this place at all cost!

DON'T BRING YOUR CAR HERE! What a ripoff! Had the A/C reconditioned and recharged. $1500 and a week later when I got it back the A/C wouldn't cool below 55 degrees. After 3 or 4 attempts to get Jim's Automotive to fix it, and he tried every trick and cheat in the book to make it cool without taking it apart, he finally agreed to fix it for another $150. It still didn't cool below 45 degrees and the A/C quit working by the end of summer. He talks a good show, but that's all it is.

This place is a rip off. We were charged $110 per hour for just diagnosing our Jetta, totaling almost of almost $400 for 4 hours (not including fixing it!). The Jetta dealer at University VW only charges a flat rate of $50 to diagnose, so we should have taken it there. Jim, the owner, called my husband back after my husband asked if he would match the price so we would have Jim's Automotive do the work (fix a fuse box). Jim was nasty when he called back, saying that he would not match the price and told us that if we didn't pick up our car (it had been there almost 2 weeks, because he and my husband kept playing phone tag) that he would start charging us a daily rate to keep it there. I've never heard of a reputable mechanic charging this much just to diagnose it; and if they did, they would apply it to the cost of the fix. This guy is trying to retire on one diagnosis. I'm surprised people continue to keep him in business. Now, we plan on getting our car fixed at a REPUTABLE dealer. Bottom line: if you feel the need to donate your money, do so at a charity, not Jim's Automotive - because that's exactly what you'll be doing.

Jim's Automotive was able to h...

Jim's Automotive was able to handle my custom-aftermarket-install like a champ! I wasn't going to trust my brand Chevy Cruze--with only 500 miles--to just any mechanic. Jim is a master aluminum fabricator and fashioned custom brackets for the engine compartment and interior console in order to mount new component parts. Beautiful craftsmanship. The job required a lot of engineering and he generously took on the project with much care and pride in his work while accomodating my needs. The shop is spotlessly clean and his crew seems to be a cut above. Gladly give him my business in the future.

I always feel you pay for what you get. I took my 2003 Honda to Jim's Automotive for a 90K service. It was very detailed and great input on services that they even mentioned I did not need at the current time. I work hard at what I do and try to constantly improve myself in my field. I respect people who also do the same and when a friend told me that they won a national award for service and repair, then I made the change. I will not go to another auto shop that makes shortcuts that has an effect on my safety in driving my vehicle.

Thank you Jims Automotive
