Affordable Auto Glass

If you ever need a windshield repair, glass coating, and tinting, Ray's Affordable Auto Glass is the place to go. My car was vandalized. The driver's side window was shattered, the windshield was cracked, and glass was all over the interior. When I went to pick up my car, I was greeted by the owner, Ray, at the door. He took us to the car and showed us exactly what was done. All the windows had new tinting, the interior was clean, and the car looked new. His assistant, who took care of the billing, was charming, and I was incredibly impressed by his business.

Grateful he got us in quickly (next day) and the windshield is great. But thy weren't ready for me when they said they would be. I would have been fine coming later if they had told me to. Instead I had to come back 30min later. Also, he had my doors open the whole time and so the battery was dead when I went to start it to leave. I'm grateful he helped give it a jump but he blamed me for poor care of my battery rather than accept he left the doors open the whole time. Also felt a little uncomfortable with his shop counter covered in religious material talking about how people will go to Hell if they don't practice his religion. I'm religious but didn't feel uplifted or inspired by that.



All in all though, I have a new windshield at a great price, less than we had budgeted for! And that is always nice.

I had my back window bashed in a day before I was supposed to go on a road trip home for christmas. I called all around Las Cruces and a few places in Albuquerque and was unable to find a shop with my window in stock. Ray took time out of his busy morning to call around and find a used window in El Paso, picked it up, and installed it in one hour that same day. His customer service was amazing and so appreciated. I would recommend Affordable Glass to everyone in Las Cruces. Ray really cares about his customers and goes above and beyond.

Our 39' diesel pusher motorhome's passenger side windshield's gasket had come out of the frame on the upper right corner and threatened to come completely out. Both left and right windshields had been replaced by another glass shop, leaving a sloppy adhesive on the glass and obviously not adequately seating the passenger side windshield.

Immediately upon arrival, Ray and 3 of his men went to work removing the tape holding the glass in and evaluating what needed to be done to secure the glass. After given the go ahead, they separated the glass from the gasket on both the inside and outside.



I am partially handicapped and my mobility was further reduced by a foot injury suffered the day before. Each of Ray's men offered immediate help every time they saw that I was about to move.



They did a professional job of reseating the glass.

To top it off, Ray asked us to bring the motorhome in the next morning so he and his men could clean off dried adhesive on the passenger side glass and the sloppy adhesive left on the driver side windshield by the other glass shop.



Ray's guys would not let us leave until we had completely cleaned and polished inside and out windshields on both sides!
