Castle Antique Mall

I had been wanting to check out this store for a long but being 60 plus miles away in Chicago made it difficult. On Saturday Oct. 17, 2015 i decided that i would make the trip but decided to phone them first to find out what time they closed. I phoned the store and when the man answered, I asked what time they close. He informed me that they were opened until 4:00pm on Saturdays. I drove there from Chicago arriving at the store at approx. 3:25pm. as I exited my car and walked toward the front door, I noticed that the store looked dark inside. I read the store hours on the front door and reaffirmed that they were indeed open until 4pm. I open the front door and walk in and there is a man and woman behind the front counter. The woman says "Can I help you. were closing. I state "your closing? I phoned first and was told you were open until 4. It's taken me an hour and a half to get here from the north side of Chicago" She looks at me as if i'm invisible and says "Well were closing because we don't have any customers". I am about in shock at this point. What am I? Chopped Liver. I've phoned first to verify your hours, driven 60 plus miles one way and now they wouldn't even turn the lights on so I could look around. I have never been treated so badly by any business in my 53 years and would not recommend anyone give a dime of your money to a business that thinks so little of their customers. I wasn't asking them to stay open late. I was only asking that they stayed open until the time they quoted me on the phone and the time stated on there front door. Especially since I had just driven 60 plus miles to give them my business. Yp requires that I give them one star but they are not even worthy of that. Edward Zoller
