Way to over priced. I was looking for a new sig sauer pistol and they didn't have the one I wanted but they had a used one for $150.00 more than I could get a brand new one at another FFL dealer much closer to home. Waste of time

Excellent service, friendly help and good prices. I have bought many guns from them and all have been past expectations. Don't let these negative reviews throw you off this is the best gun store in PA.

went to Maurers yesterday, ride 25.5 miles one waaaaaaaaaay,, was in the process of looking at a pistol, when another sales woman walked from the other side of the store to tell me i had to take my "duffle bag", out was my backpack with my rainwear and phone charger, that I had to take it and put it behind the counter downstairs because she was afraid i was coming to steal something,I placed the pistol down and told her that if i looked so distrustful then I would just leave instead,,, I've taken that backpack into many other places, gun shops, hander mountain several times and never was accused of potential shoplifting,,I will never set got in that place ever again,, and I've bought plenty of guns there in the past.

went there last week to look at a few guns. I was going to purchase a 22 rifle for my son, and possibly an over-under browning shotgun that I fancied. The salesperson was going to show it to me but evidently if you know the salesman by name, and are friends with him you take presidence...He showed this guy a rifle, and I waited for 5 minutes probably before I left very upset. This place has ALWAYS been hard to get waited on, and the people are not well informed as to what they are selling. As for the gentleman who had his gun boresighted there. PLEASE!! These people are not gunsmiths whatsoever. Suprised that they know how to even turn a screwdriver. Next time take it to a reputaple gunsmith.

Just left from sale day. I was in the process of buying a hand gun and found the grip was not what I thought the gun had. I decided to go with another gun (not on sale) and got nothing but attitude. Slamming his hands down, throwing his pen on the counter (several times with both) coupled with a sharp comments, even after I said I was sorry for changing my mind. I finally walked out on him. (There are alot of gun dealers out there with good deals) I have never done anything like that before!

The prices on firearms and other hunting equipment was below internet prices, not by much but it also cut out the shipping prices. They knew what they were talking about and gave fair, honest reviews on the firearms I was interested in. helped me out and threw in a few perks due to the type of weapon I bought. I will be going back even with living so far away

I just bought my 15 year old son his first deer rifle and it was also my first visit to Maurer's Trading Post. I was very impressed. A huge inventory and knowledgeable, friendly staff. We picked out a beautiful Marlin 30-06 XL7, scope included, for a fair market price (not to mention smack in the middle of deer season)! The bore sighting was spot-on. I have to admit I will definitely be back for all of my sporting needs!

Moved up to 25 yards and started over. Still wasn't on the paper. It was just a big mess and waste of my time.

Went to Mauer's for the first time a couple weeks ago. I got a scope mounted and bore sighted. Very reasonable price of $20. Shot my gun this weekend for the first time since having it mounted and bore sighted and it took me 14 shots to get it sighted in. The first 2 shots were 1/4 apart, but they were 8 inches left and 18 inches low at 100 yards!! I couldn't believe it. The gun had not been dropped, bumped, or anything so there is no way the scope was thrown off. The staff was very friendly, but I was extremely disappointed in the results I got to say the least. I know others who have been there and had their scopes bore sighted within a couple inches of being zeroed. I don't know if this was a new guy that did my bore sighting, a fluke, or what, but I will not be going back anytime soon.

We visited Mauer's today for the first time. We were very happy with the employees friendly behavior and their knowledge of the merchandise they sell. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. A gentleman named Mark was extremely helpful in helping me find a handgun that I felt comfortable with and he provided my husband with information on a few of the large variety of rifles they have to offer. We would definitely recommend Mauer's Trading Post to anyone looking for any type of sporting goods. They have just about anything you could possibly want or need. We WILL CERTAINLY be returning for our future sporting goods needs! Thanks Mark for such a positive experience.
