Desert Pet Center

I just went into this store with my 12 year old lab who has severe arthritis. There was a loose dog in the store that belonged to one of the employees (Jen). I attempted to avoid the dog, but this dog made a b-line for my old dog and attacked him repeatedly despite my yelling at it to stop. Jen made her way over and grabbed her dog and put it away somewhere. I immediately took my dog back out to the car and came back in for some items I needed.This is why I am angry; Jen did not apologize nor ask if my dog was ok, and did not mention the attack in any way, shape or form when I came up to the counter. I asked for the contact information of the owner of the store and she rudely said "no, I am not giving it to you. He works and I am not giving you his number; he works on Tuesdays, you can come and see him then". Now, mind you, my dog is now limping and I will need to take him to my vet to see if there is any injuries. I told Jen she should take her dog home to which she quickly replied " she has never attacked a dog in here, I don't know why she attacked yours". This I find very hard to believe. She was extremely rude and curt, taking no responsibility for what had happened at all. You can bet your butt I will be in that store first thing Tuesday morning. Her rudeness and lack of concern for my dog were just like a white trash mouthy little girl. I will never step foot in that store again!!!!

HAD been a customer for over 15 years. As of May 2014, no longer, nor ever will be again. Desert Pet may have pets, supplies, accommodating hours, but they DON'T HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE, nor an OWNER who cares for customer's concerns. When it's up to the customer to find a remedy/replacement for a faulty aquarium filter, then it's up to the customer to also NOT transact business with said company. Val

Desert Pet has boarded my cockatoo on many occasions for the past four years and I have been more than pleased with his care. They welcome him and he seems very well cared for. I am amazed at how clean and neat the store is and it is very well stocked with all pet needs. Great service!

I have been to the store twice. The first time I spoke to the owner and she could care less that I was a customer. Today, three employees, only one of which paid any attention to their customers. I try to support local business, but utter apathy and incompetence will keep me from coming back.

I have been a customer of this store for over 10 years and this is the BEST place to buy your fish and tanks. The people are very knowlegable and helpful. I highly recommend.

I am a frequent shopper for fish, and Desert Pets has the best-looking guppies and betas in town. Their staff is both knowledgeable and helpful, and most are very friendly. I would recommend them over a chain store any day.
