I love Rhi at PetSmart. My dog, Shilo, is a big fluffy Border Collie and is usually outside. He gets really messy even though we try to keep him brushed--it's a never ending chore. Rhi does an outstanding job--takes her 3 hours usually and Shilo looks so good and well trimmed. Highly recommend you ask for her, she books up so must call a few weeks ahead of time.

Groomers are not grooming all the dogs... I inquired about having my Golden Retreiver groomed. I usually have the hairs off his rear belly and feet trimmed up just a little, a bath and nail trim. I was told a bather would do the dog, NOT an actual groomer. I expressed some concern over this and said I wanted a GROOMER to groom my dog. They said it was against store policy?! Against store policy for their groomers to groom a dog??? I was told what I wanted done was not grooming and a bather would do the dog, if I wanted a groomer to do the dog I had to pay quite a bit extra. Maybe I am wrong here, but I am not comfortable having a bather take scissors and clippers to my dog...that to me is GROOMING and an experienced GROOMER should be the only one to use such tools on any dog! Heck, I can bathe my own dog at home, but Im not a groomer so I dont touch him with the scissors. Store policy that a groomer cant groom a dog? Unheard of! I think I will find someplace with better policies!

I made the mistake of waiting too long to book with my regular groomer and had my dog groomed here. Very inexperienced groomers, charged me almost double what my regular groomer charges, and the haircut on my dog wasnt even close to the job I am use to her having done. Very unhappy with their groomers here and will not be using them again ever.
