Starlight Mountain Theatre

Sad. They don't have the talent this year. So disappointed. We have been regulars for years. Paid $72 for 4 tickets and it was just not good. Somewhat painful. I have been to high school plays that have been far better. We left at intermission. Seriously, will not go again.

While staying at the Ashley Inn, we were told about the Starlight Mountain Theatre, so we drove the 50 miles one evening. It was worth the time & effort. Charming cast, play and atmosphere. The stage is out under the stars and you sit outside on chairs surrounding the stage. Mostly made up of high school & college age kids, there is a lot of energy put into the performance. The plays are popular ones that you've probably seen the movie like 7 brides for 7 brothers, cinderella, and fiddler on the roof. I think I enjoyed it more because I knew the play. We saw South Pacific. It made for "some enchanted evening"! We highly recommend it.
