Heights Pet Center

So far so good for this pet shop. I haven't read anything really bad about their services. If you are thinking of buying from them, I will recommend it.

Owners are rude to customers and employees. I had a special request for a product. An employee helped me. The owner seemed to think my request wasn't worth the time and snapped the help. I've also seen the man yell at employees on the sales floor. Since a simple question is to irritating I'm taking my business else where.

I have been a customer of Heights Pet Center for many years. I will no longer patronize this business.. The owner Patty is rude to customers, and the only staff she hires is incompetent young people who could care less abut the customers.. Although I have been treated as a "friend" ( right) I am not good enought to even consider for a part time position. The products for dogs are stale. and way overpriced. Their commercial pet food is not of the highest quality!!! If you are a pet center concerned with pet health and nutrition,, it only stands to reason that you would carry 4&5 star food,,, not anything less as you seem to prefer. I hae reported this company to the labor board for they seem to not hire anyone over the age of 30!!!!

I purchased a fish tank set about 2 years ago from Heights Pet Center. It worked great until about a week ago when the filter stopped working. I went back in during the morning to ask which filter would be best etc. The male owner helped me and actually had the same filter from my set left over from another set that he GAVE me. It would have cost me $20 to buy a new filter and he took the time to help and replaced the filter which he didn't have to. I was very happy with the visit (as I have been with all purchases there) and glad I purchase locally instead of from a chain. I am also glad they only sell birds, reptiles and rodents.

Some 13+ years ago I purchased my cat at this establishment. I went to the store with my daughter to show her where I got our cat. The store has increased in size since my visit. Sadly, the customer service was incredibly sub-par from what I remember. While the number of people "working' ratio to customers was outstanding, the overwhelming feeling was that we were intruding upon their space. The girls that worked there seemed to be almost hostile or dismissive to my daughter and I. I shall go elsewhere for my next pet-related purchases. The visit happened on 3/6/11 about midday.

I like the conditions of the animals, I see the cages cleaned on the days I go and by crickets.

The customer service at this establishment leaves something to be desired. I had stopped in there three times looking for the same item and told twice that they would be getting in "at the end of the week". Today was "the last day of the week" and they didn't have what they said they would. Also, on this last trip there - the employees didn't seem to be anywhere to be found.
