There use to be knowledgable staff at the fish department but many untrained new employes have come in. What's left of the good employees seem to be in other areas of the store. Doesn't seem to be a smart manageable choice

Will not be using this store for salon services again. Three out of the last 4 appointments were absolutely horrible. The first one, my dog was done for over an hour. No one called me to come get her. I finally had to call them & when I got there, she was soaking wet from being left in the crate (she has separation anxiety). They re-bathed her & gave me a discount, so I let it slide, but it was months before I went back. The second one went fine. The third & fourth appointments never happened because whomever I spoke to on the phone opted to not put me on the books. So after I drove there, I was told there was no appointment, no one was going to remedy the issue that day & they could give me a discount the next time. Unacceptable. Will only be using this location for my 6-month supply of Advantix..until another store starts carrying more than 3-months. Now I've got to bend over my low bathtub & wash my dog & butcher her hair using regular scissors. Thanks a lot PetSmart Mechanicsville.

We have a new puppy & brought her to Pet Smart for training - she is ready to graduate from her THIRD class and we couldn't be more pleased! Her trainer (Kyle) is THE BEST! Would HIGHLY recommend him! He knows how dogs 'think' and has trained US as well as our pooch. We have also used the grooming salon a few times for a touch up (too little to need a full cut). We have NEVER been disappointed and she comes out looking even more adorable than when she went it. The folks back there are always friendly and she is always eager to see them (which says a lot!). Friendly staff everywhere you go! We will definitely make this 'our' dog store from now on. We are especially happy about the training we've received. It's very do-able from the stand point of what we need to do at home and our trainer explains things in a way that makes sense & apparently makes sense to our dog too! Couldn't be happier - THANK YOU !!!!!
