General Info
Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is providing lifelong sanctuary to non-releasable Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem wildlife while sharing a message of education and conservation. For 35 years, we have provided homes to animals like bison, bears, mountain lions, wolves, hawks, owls, and foxes that rescue/rehab centers declare to be too badly injured, too habituated to humans, or too emotionally damaged to live in the wild. The Sanctuary offers visitors an unparalleled chance to learn about native wildlife by observing them at close range and experiencing our interpretive displays. We also offer custom-tailored guided tours, whether it's for just yourself, or a whole busload of kids from your school, club, or camp. Each animal that we accept becomes our responsibility for the rest of its life. At the same time, each of those animals provides an educational opportunity that can prevent other local animals from ending up in a facility like ours.
