The Cullman County Museum is located in a replica of the home of the founder of the community, John Cullmann, an immigrant from Germany. Opening in 1975 the Museum has become a point of pride for the community whose history its walls contain. The Museum has displays covering many eras and interest. From Native American presentations to the Main Street displays which focus on Cullman's German heritage and early history. There are many interactive features in the Museum including the popular Arrowhead Rubbing table. Tour groups are welcome and "step-on" tours can be arranged for a first hand experience of the community. Other sites under the Museum umbrella include Weiss Cottage, Cullman's oldest house and the 1913 train depot which is located directly behind the Museum. The Cullman County Museum is located in a replica of the home of the founder of the community, John Cullmann, an immigrant from Germany.
