- Heinz History Center, located in Pittsburgh, is a history museum that operates in association with the Smithsonian Institution. The history museum's Smithsonian wing has the western Pennsylvania Sports Museum section along with a special collections gallery. The gallery features Smithsonian's First Ladies, and Political Role & Public Image exhibits. The museum features various exhibits, such as information regarding underground railroads. The center provides information on more than 250 years of western Pennsylvania s history. It additionally offers the works of more than 40 regional authors in its book fair, and provides books on various topics, such as Pittsburgh s history, amusement parks, sports and poetry and additionally offers various children's books.
