Overall
Interesting history

Atomic testing was a big part of the Las Vegas area. The museum does a very good job highlighting and show casing what occured during that time. It's worth a stop in if your visiting or even live here - because it's a different museum you aren't use to visiting.

Just one slight, I asked a question and the employee was responded in a testy (ha ha, didn't mean a play on words) way. Maybe he was having a bad day, or was sick of answering the same questions.

Overall
Depressing and dehumanizing

It may not be actually boring, but it does underscore how we manage to disengage ourselves from what is truly human. As my (now-former) best friend and I stood looking at pictures of young American service men hunkering down in trenches waiting for the bomb to go off, I mentioned to him how depressed I was by this. His response (interrupting me in mid-sentence, as always) fit perfectly into the meiieu of the place: "Oh, I can see WHY...just think of all the MONEY and TECHNOLOGY that was wasted on this..." I did not, and still don't, give a rat's behind about the money and technology. I was upset about the young men who volunteered to serve their country and protect their way of life only to be viewed as two-legged guinea pigs by people at the Pentagon who were probably just as soulless as the ones who put this horror together and then charged admission to let people ignore the rights of those boys all over again. I found no apology anywhere for what was done, nor any recognition for their sacrifice.
