They killed 2 mules just to make their McCormick reaper display more "authentic". Mr. Phil Paramore of Museum Arts said, "The reason that you use a real animal is to most accurately show the way the activity was done at the time. A fiberglass replica just doesn't convey the same message." This wasn't a wild animal stuffed after a kill, these were 2 domestic animals killed specifically for the purpose of showcasing what a LIVE mule did in the day.
