We have been here a few times with our annual float. I have always been annoyed with the really high prices, but we booked once again this year only because our other family and friends were planning this with a total 80 people. We stayed a 3 day weekend and it will be our last trip here
So, once we arrive the staff had no knowledge of these New Deluxe Cozy Cabin we were supposed to stay in. The was much confusion as to where we were staying and the new staff member gave us what we thought was the key to our cabin. We unpacked all of our stuff into the lodge and stayed in the cabin we were directed to Friday.
Saturday afternoon a staff member arrives at our cabin and tells us we are at the wrong cabin. We were pretty sure its correct because the key the staff gave us let us in so, we thought oh no that's not the case. Sure enough it was. The owner himself came storming into our cabin gave us two options either to leave without our money or take the two times smaller cabin we were supposed to have. My Husband and the rest of our friends tried talking with the owner to explain this is just a miscommunication. The owner insisted that we were "Trespassing" (yes with a key and a receipt), that he was going to call the State Patrol if we were not out in 30 minutes. Mind you, we paid $700 for the weekend to stay in these cabins.
After trying to calm the owner and paying a pet fee of $45 for our dogs. He pushes one of our dogs, yelling GET THOSE DOGS OFF THE COUCH. We thought this place was pet friendly as it advertised all over the website.
We were not refunded any money, nor did he apologize for his actions or the way we were treated. We were going to leave and just forfeit the money that we paid but the owner said if you don't stay here I am going to find someone who will. We did not want him to get double the money so we did as told.
YES this actually happened. I was dumb founded. We will not be back here as a whole group. 80 customers lost here and we will be contacting the BBB.

MANAGEMENT AND STAFF ARE RUDE AND UNREASONABLE. WE WERE TOLD AFTER WE HAD ARRIVED AND PAID THAT OUR FLOAT WAS NON-LOW ALCOHOL. THEY HAVE STRICT REGISTRATION AND CHECK IN POLICIES THAT CAUSE EXTREMELY LONG LINES AT CHECK IN TIME. ON THE DAY OF OUR VISIT TWO OTHER PEOPLE AHEAD OF US IN LINE LEFT, ALSO ANGRY WITH THE REGISTRATION POLICY.
FLOAT TRIP BUS DRIVER REFUSED TO RETURN FLOATERS TO THE RESORT AFTER FLOATING UNTIL THE BUS HAD FILLED UP WHICH TOOK AN HOUR.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO OZARK OUTDOORS. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER CAMPING CHOICES TO TOLERATE THIS.
