Our favorite zoo in Colorado. Built on the side of a mountain, this zoo offers great wildlife viewing, amazing views of Colorado Springs, plus plenty of exercise.

I've had a wonderful experience at this zoo. One of the best I've been to. And that's saying something since it is completely non-profit and doesn't get a cent of tax support. The animals are wonderful, the staff friendly and informative and the view of the Colorado Springs area is gorgeous. The special events that the zoo holds, like Boo at the Zoo, Electric Safari, Art on the Hoof and Moonlight on the Mountain, are spectacular! This place is a must see for anyone visiting the Springs and anyone who lives here.
