Almon County Park

I have been walking in town with my three dogs and today I decided to walk the Almon Trial.We walked the wilderness trail first. My dogs pull fast. I had to keep my eyes on the path for rocks or tree roots so between this changing my pace and step and the fact that the trail has a few downhill and uphill grades I found it quite a good workout. The wetland walk was also slightly demanding but one can find a lot Labrador tea and we did see a frog cross or path and a couple of loons in the bay with a young one. I have decided to alternate town and Almon walks. The only Challenge I had was when I exited the wilderness trail there were no signs. So I walked both ways on the frisky course to check the station numbers but finally found a helpful couple who directed me to the parking lot. We moved fast so we were a moving target for mosquitoes but non connected. Looking forward to snowshoeing the paths. Great diabetic exercise. By the way I am Gails other half. My neighbors play the frisby course.
