Exotic Pet Center

On first walk in it smelled AWFUL like urine and mold. There was one person watching the whole store. So service was little to none. The animals were in tiny, dirty cages with no place to move around. They had two puppies that had bald spots and were covered with crud. The fish selection was the better part of the store but even then it was lacking. There were a lot of exotic birds kept in small glass tanks. They couldnt even stand up fully. I couldnt even bear to look at the monkeys. Reptiles were shoved in the corner and i thought i'd never find them.

In all, it had a lot of animals you might not find in a normal pet store but they were all over priced and very ill. If you can help it your better off sadly getting supplies and common pets from petsmart.

Nasty, disgusting pet store. Be prepared for the shock of your life when you go in. It is mind blowing this is allowed to go on. What's even more sad is that people patronize this store, thus keeping it's doors open!

Never, EVER go to this store unless you want to leave broken hearted. Went in to look at bearded dragons and was so disgusted by what I saw. VERY filthy tanks. Looked like they had not been cleaned in months. No food. One big beardie in a very small tank full of feces. And they wanted $250.00! No one ever spoke to us while we were there. There was only one other customer in the store. I had to leave before I got into an argument. Can't afford bail. I wish I knew who to report them to.

love this store !!! we bought 2 canaries . Very healthy and their price are VERY GOOD. W e go back every time we go to our Tenn home and buy more stuff.

Went to this pet store looking to buy my kids a bird. I talked with a lady she priced me a bird for 199.00 after thinking it over I went back the following day to get the bird there was a young BOY running the place I told him what I wanted & he priced the bird for $439.99! I calmly explained to him I had discussed the bird with the lady the day b4 but he insisted that it was 439.99! The same bird that was $199.99 the day b4!WOW! After leaving the store empty handed I decided to call & leave my number for the lady to call me back only to be told the price of the bird was 399.99! WHAT! 5 min ago it was $439.00 & yesterday it was $199.99!

So after my kids had for all excited about getn the bird we where all let down by sum maybe 16 yr old kid who obviously had no clue about any of the birds! BIG BIG BIG LET DOWN!

I love this pet store very friendly and helpful just got a red tail from them and it is very healthy and their prices are very low

I go to this pet store frequently and went recently to purchase a few more fish. The animals are very well taken care of and maintained. My fish have adjusted well and are very healthy. I would highly recommend visiting and purchasing your next pet from here.

Close them down I was there not long ago and the cats had stuff runing from there eyes and nose laying in there nasty litter pans and no food they just looked so bad

My family are pet lovers. Every time we go anywhere we always check out the pet stores in the different towns. We frequent the Sevierville area several times during the year. We have been visiting this pet store for over 10 years and have ALWAYS found the pets well taken care of. I know from experience that any place with multiple pets is going to have little oder first thing in the morning when they open up. I have personally been there first thing when they open up. Yes, some animals messed through the night. That is no surprise. They get right to clean up in order of importance. Some of the people stating all these negative responses are setting themselves up for slander liability. I have been to many pet stores in various states and this one ranks near the top! The owners genuinely care for their pets. Check out a zoo first thing in the morning and see some messes. Most don't smell too bad because they are outside. This isn't like a chain pet store that has fifty employees. I love this pet store and will keep coming back when we visit this area. They do an excellent job!

The spell bad me sick and some of the birds didn't have water:( I asked the lady the price of a bird and she told me and the other lady told me a different price :( Very Nasty place :( this place need to be shut down wish I knew who to call

This place deserves zero stars and needs to be shut down fast. I was just in there today and the conditions the animals were living in broke my heart. Every single cage is filthy and overstocked. The place smells like urine soaked rodent bedding and strong cat pee. The bird cages are a mess and feathers all over the place. I feel sick leaving this store and will be complaining.

visited pet store with wife on honeymoon and found beautiful birds. Also pet supplies resonably priced. Parrots were most beautiful, healthy, and and well trained birds i have ever seen.

I have been to this pet shop many times. I have bought 2 parrot fish that were babies and now are huge and healthy. Also started another fish tank 2 months ago have bought 8 fish, everyone is alive and doing well. For anyone that has been in a pet shop and had the variety that they have you have to realize that it is almost impossible to have not animal scents as all animals especially exoctic have their own usual scent as to mark. This is a family owned business so not only do they have this shop, they raise most of the animals so at least you know the pet has not come from a puppy mill, (this I know personally as I have bought several puppies and am looking forward to the next litter of small chihuahua, (hopefully blue/white small female. I have never seen dead animals, maybe a fish or two but everywhere fish are sold some will die. In fact this is the only place I will ever get a pet from except perhaps a shelter as I have 4 shelter animals not. I also had a parrot from there and would recommend and have to people or friends that are looking for some animal in particular. Sounds like some people need to get off their high horse and really think how hard it is to run a pet shop and raise a family and incase you never met their children they are the most polite and helpful children I have met in a long time. First i'd like to say this is the worst pet store I've ever stepped foot in. One step in the door and you will smell what I mean. the lady that owns the place is a know-it-all. You should hear the way she speaks to the kids who work there (which I found out are her own children). Take one look at the birds and I guarantee you will feel like you want to open all the cage doors and free them for the deplorable conditions they are sentenced to. The snakes all have mites and are continuously moving around trying to relieve the itch. Look in the fish tanks and count how many dead fish you see fouling the water quality. Buy a bucket of salt for a saltwater tank, take it home, and when you open it, watch the thousands of cockroaches scatter all in your home, but dont dare say anything to the owner lady because she will say you already had cockroaches in your home. This next despicable act is the reason I will never step foot in that store again, I saw the lady who owns the store, dump a bottle of water conditioner in the big saltwater tank, and then submerge the now empty bottle in the tank to fill it back up, put the cap on it, wipe it dry with a towel, and put it back on the shelf to sell. That is the most grimy business practice I've ever seen from a business owner, and I used to work at a used car dealership.

I went here with a friend to purchase a bird. We had no idea what kind to get so the employees helped us choose. We left with a cocktail! I enjoyed my trip and appreciated the help from the staff.

My husband & I looked up pet stores and found Exotic Pets in Sevierville. It was absolutely heart breaking and I am outraged! How can any of us ignore our duty to protect animals that can't speak for themselves. Most if not all of them are sitting in there own feces. To terrible to even explain. Please Please get invovled check it out for yourselves. Speak out so we can save these poor animals!
