I went to the ZZ Top concert 11/1/2008.

No signs before entrance of what is not allowed as carry in.

Purse searched on entrance.

made to throw away cigarettes or take them to car.

dark out and not good part of town was not going to walk to car alone.

daughter made to throw her cigarettes and lighter away.

daughter then hears man tell girls doing the search not to search purses anymore as taking too much time.

son and his wife came in different entrance

people getting hand stamps if smokers so they could go outside during intermission to smoke.

after thinking about what happened more, went back to entrance that I had came in.

asked the first lady how many people had to have purses searched.

told to go to the ladies doing the search.

asked those ladies. told to ask the man in charge (standing to the side)

asked him. he said they do not allow alcohol to carry in.

told him I did not have alcohol, I had cigarettes and they made me throw them away.

when tried to go back in was pushed on shoulder by elderly women and told they had to search my purse.

They had seen I came from in the building and was talking to everyone about this. I feel this was to harrass me. I had to let my daughter know where I was because I was her ride.

I then opened my purse and turned it upside down emptying the contents on the floor.

"There! That is what is in my purse!" I said.

The policeman that was there said that kind of behavior could get me thrown out.

at that point I did not care if they threw me out, I just needed to tell my daughter where I was.



I would not go back to the civic center if god was going to be there.

I told them I was going to tell as many people as I could and write several people. they told me do it.



There were people smoking all through the room. even the band was smoking. they had their lighters lite and waving. One girl had a Janis Joplin shirt with a saying about freedom on it. People so drunk they were falling out of their chairs.people cheering when the gitar player lite up a cigarette on stage. It makes you wonder.

with everyone in there that had them, lighting their lighters. drinking to the point they were falling out of their chairs, then driving home. What was it that made them think one pack of cigarettes in my purse (not being used) was so harmful. I just had them with me, I was not smoking them. and why were my cigarettes more dangerous just being in my purse that those of the people given hand stamps? and why were only some of the people having to have their purses searched. If it is that dangerous get the scanners like they have at airports. Oh But cigarettes don't show up on those?

I feel I was unduly harrassed
