        The selection of saltwater fish is excellent. They will also order specialty fish and equipment. Their service is above and beyond. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable. I would, and have, recommend Blue Fish to others.

        I live in Lansing and have the benefit of getting fish from my very large and nice local pet store Pruess Pets, but expected a similar level of competency from a business that models our local pet store closely. What I find is when it comes to freshwater aquatic plants their prices are high the portion sizes are ridiculous and most of the cool stuff is not for sale even though staff tell you they carry most of the plants found in the display tanks. The people in the freshwater area in general act glazed over and clueless. I've had good experiences with their reptile department but considering I specialize in high tech tanks and cool aquatic plants this repeat experience has led me to decide to not even bother. I've been to this place 6 times and it's the same story when it comes to aquatic plants

        Blue Fish Aquarium hasn't had sharks in for a really long time! The staff has lots of experience and knowledge, wonderful service, clean tanks, great deals! Ben and the whole staff have accurate advice, I guess it's your choice to follow it! Also I've never had any problems with their return policy, this place goes out of it's way for it's customers and is growing! Make sure to stop in!

        This is a very cool store. Without a doubt it has the largest Saltwater selection in West Michigan. Several of the employees know more about their tanks inhabitants than most of the other store's owners in the area. The difference between Blue Fish Aquarium and the posers in the area is incredible. I also keep freshwater fish, their fish and aquariums are the healthiest I have seen in Michigan. Very well planted too. They have Reptiles, ponds, and even bunnies! This place is the real deal!

        The store is the antithesis of the big box pet retailer. The livestock display tanks are wonderful. They highlight both fish and plants. More importantly, they show the customer what can be done with a glass box. The proprietor is patient with customers and extremely knowledgeable.Looking for a corydoras sterbai, a puntius densonii or an apistogramma? This small store has them! try to find them at the big box or many of the smaller stores. What's not to like?
