        High Sierra Taxi was built out of the need for reliable transportation services in the Truckee area. We live here for the same reasons everyone else does. With beautiful landscapes, an active nightlife and incredible weather systems that drive so many people to our area, it also comes with challenges for traveling. To make your way through the heavy snowstorms and historic mountain roads of Donner Pass and Lake Tahoe, it takes experienced drivers and capable vehicles to get around the Truckee/Tahoe area. High Sierra Taxi is a local company that has been family owned and operated since 2003. Our drivers know the area and how to get you where you need to go.

        Overall

        I love High Sierra Taxi! They are always super nice and reasonably fast when I need them. They have big cabs which I love because it's easy to fit my kids' car seats. I also feel safe being that they are all 4-wheel drive. I trust them to be there when I need them and I recommend them to anyone looking for a good cab company. :)

        Best taxi service in Truckee and North Tahoe

        High Sierra Taxi is the only real taxi service in Truckee,ca. We spent a week in Tahoe for my bachelor party. While we were there we used several taxi services. By the second day we got a ride with High Sierra Taxi. They were very profesional. They were the only cabs that would be there when they said, and would get us where we were going on time. Not to mention they drive really nice Lincoln Navigators! Every time i take a trip to Tahoe I call my new found friends at High Sierra Taxi
