Historic Edenton State Historic Site is a North Carolina State Historic Site and offers a wide range of tours of the historic district of Edenton, N.C. Our site includes: the Historic Edenton Visitor Center complete with exhibits, orientation film, information, and restrooms; the 1800/1827 James Iredell House, the home of one of the justices of the first U.S. Supreme Court; the 1767 Chowan County Courthouse, the most intact and longest running Colonial American Courthouses; and the 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse, one of the few remaining screw-pile lighthouses in the United States.
