Bastrop Fine Arts Guild is an association which works towards the mutual aid and promotion of artists. It is a member of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce. The guild also encourages cultural interest and appreciation for fine arts. It offers classes in a variety of mediums, including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, photography, pottery and jewelry making. Its facility, located in Bastrop, Texas, provides a venue for exhibitions, community events and programs, and workshops and classes. It also sponsors a number of alternate exhibition venues, including the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery, the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, the McKinney Roughs and the First State Bank. Bastrop Fine Arts Guild takes part in various community events that includes the annual Harvest Art Fest and the Festival of Trees. Additionally, the guild s artists participate in shows throughout the area, including the Salinas Spring Art Gala.
