Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, made sure we understood: We purchased our first pet/fish here. After extensively researching fish and cycling our tank, we decided to finally go to this store. One particular employee was very helpful. He spent a good 1/2 hr explaining which type of fish live best with other type of fish. He even explained why a lot of people in my area (Utah) pick a particular fish (Ph levels of tap water). We spent an hour and 1/2 browsing their huge selection of fish and came up with different scenerio lists. He explained which fish were best placed together (his opinions did not reflect pricing as most he chose were the less expensive fish.) He warned us on overcrowding the tank with its first fish (which we did not do). He showed us what to add to our tank, what to feed them for best nutritional value and how to take care of them. The employees devoted a lot of their time to assiting us. Our beautiful African Cichlids are loving our tank. Thank you very much!

This store is hands down the best fish store in the Utah Valley. I have 3 fish tanks and have purchased fish on a regular interval for several years now. Out of the 20 fish I have bought from here only 1 died and that was a few months after purchase. On average I was losing over 50% of my fish from other retailers. The owner of the store is very helpful and is wiling to share his knowledge. He has explained several details in great detail to me. I will not buy fish from any other supplier due to the variety, price, quality, and knowledge of the staff.

I was the boy hired to clean the Lady's aquarium on the review below, she forgot to mention, when she asked me to clean her tank I warned her that she would be the first cleaning for hire besides my own, She made clear that wasn't a problem. I did take four hours Cleaning every inch of glass, vac. the gravel, did a half water change, Windex the lid & Light cover,and tank. Scrub all the algae off each fake plant and decor, took a complete water test, Changed out all the old filter media, refilled the carbon, fixed her broken air pumps and had them working again with bubblier. Then I charged her a total of 50 Dollars! Total = 12.50 hour I picked sweet fish,+ she was only charged 25% of normal price,I gave details on floating the bags and how to release the fish. She didn't mention she ignored my instructions claiming that I gave her all diseased fish, well even diseased fish don't die 1 hour after you buy them. I didn't answer her calls again because your a ungrateful lunatic!!!

I was told that he knew how to clean aquariums in homes. It took him over 4 hours to clean my fresh water 90 gal. aquarium. I purchased some fish from him the next day did what he told me to do and 25 of those fish died. When I called him to let him know what had happened, he promised to bring fish to replace the ones that died. He was to bring them on a Tuesday night. I spoke with him twice. He never showed up or called. When I called his cell phone the next day and for a week his phone had been disconnected and the business phone would just ring and ring no one ever answered. Two weeks later his cell phone was working again I left 3 messages for him. He never called back. I paid him for the fish he told me one total and I felt it was not enough and gave him $25 more. You would think he would make good on his promises, be more professional in various ways. I would not recommend this business. D. SchlesingerMidvale, Utah
