I called in earlier today and asked if there are African Dwarf Frogs in stock, there were not but they quickly ordered African Dwarf Frogs and they had them in stock next day! Great one-on-one customer service! Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE. Not only does the store smell like urine, their puppies are kept in very small pens and they are asking $250++ for MIXED BREED DOGS. They look like puppy mill dogs to me. Today they had two golden doodle puppies in stacked pens, one atop the other, and they had enough room to move and that was it. They didn't even have water bowls!! They had those things you give rabbits. One of the puppies was trying to get a drink and he got so frustrated that he rolled on his back and started swatting at it.

In the back of the store with the reptiles, there was a small, maybe 15 gallon tank that contained about 6 small turtles and a lizard. In the same tank. That just sounds like a horrible idea. If you don't have room for your animals to live comfortable until purchased, DO NOT HAVE THEM.

The thing that aggravates me most is the care of their parrots. You are not supposed to clip the wings of finches and budgies, and doves. All of the birds they have were clipped. Their resident Grey and Amazon are in very small cages with too few perches and one toy, and even a quick google search will tell you that parrots need many toys and enrichment items, as well as several perches of various sizes to keep them happy and healthy.

The Cockateils and budgies were also very poorly raised. Caring for baby birds is a lot of work, and it is obvious these people ignored this. The clear evidence that they are poorly cared for is they were terrified of human contact, and they were VERY small. They probably have health problems as well and I highly recommend contacting a good breeder or a rescue organization to get a bird, rather than buy from these people.

They were on an all seed diet as well. Parrots need at least a mix of dried fruits/veggies and pellets, with seeds and nuts given as minimal treats, and supplemented with fresh fruits and veggies. Seeds cause a variety of deadly health problems. They also had a Quaker parakeet, which are notoriously territorial in the same 'pen' as their two terrified Cockatiels. This is very dangerous for the Cockatiels. I've been around many rescue parrots and have seen toes hacked off by aggressive cagemates.

And to top it all off, when I asked if their Quaker Parakeet was friendly (I was attempting to scratch the head of this bird, he was a cutie) the man responded (While heading to do something with the puppies in tiny cages) with "Yeah, very! You can grab him, hold him, or throw him like a football, I don't care!". That's right. An employee encouraged me to 'throw him like a football'. How professional!

All in all while the place looks nice and flashy, this is a terrible place that obviously does not care at all where their puppies come from or the health of their animals.

Where do I start? The birds, which they claim are "hand fed", are terrified of humans. Walk into the little bird room and they all panic. Great job "hand feeding" them. The store smells like urine, the puppies lay and roll in feces and are over priced. The owner is rude and doesn't seem like he really wants to be there. The store used to be over in Oakwood Square where it was shut down multiple times.

I bought a cockatiel from them a few years ago and it almost immediately fell ill and died. They were rude and inconsiderate, pretty much telling me I'm on my own.

Quite possibly the worst pet store in the area.

I will never return to this store. They were condescending, rude and arrogant. I wish I would have read the reviews before hand.

This place is absolutely awful. I recently bought a guinea pig from this pet store and it died within 3 days. They also sold us a guinea pig we were told was a male. It ended up being a female and pregnant. The cages they keep their dogs in are absolutely horrible for their paws. Watching a little puppy, most likely from a puppy mill, trying to walk around on the bars broke my heart. The birds that they claim are hand fed are extremely scared of human contact and poorly taken care of. Many cages had perches of the same size, no foragers, and very old damaged toys. When I visited it also looked like the cages hadn't been cleaned in a while. I recommend buying from a trustworthy breeder or a shelter instead of this place.

Poor hygiene. The store and the animals. Dead fish floating in tanks. puppies trapped in small cages all day with no water bowls. Kittens with litter and bowel caked to their fur. Store worker was rude with customers and sold me a sick 4 week old kitten.

great experiance

I have not bought a puppy in this store but Is smells just fine and every time I am there it amazes me that they do such a great job with all those animals. I bought a kitten and a fish setup from harry. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. I'm just glad there is still a place like this still around.

I had purchased two siamese kittens from them and they both had ringworm from purchase. Then the one kitten had gotten extremely sick from the ringworm and had just passed away. If anybody wants to buy a pet from this store, I would highly recommend that you look away from this pet store. They sell sick animals. Even the vet I took the kitten to said that they are not clean and really don't care about the animals.

Best pet store I have ever been to. They just don't put this much love into these kind of stores like these guys do anymore. I bought a cavapoo from Harry last week and its like having another child. My family coundn't be happier. He was very knowledgable about all the questions I asked. The food (royal Canin) that he recommended has been great. Eats less and poops less. Very healthy dog. The potty trasining he recommended worked like a charm. I try to take my kids in there once a week just because they love going. Please don't believe everything you read. Remember the people that have a good expereince are the ones who usually don"t give reviews. I just happened to read some of these and had to set it straight. I encourage you to go and judge yourself. You will not regret it.

Go somewhere else; the pound would be better. These people just want to sell. We bought a goldendoodle and took it immediately to the vet. It was suspected the pup had ringworm, took a culture and gave us some prescriptions. We called the store and Harry said it was impossible. Well it turns out the vet was correct. I sent an email and finally got a response from another of the owners who offered to take care of the dog and to call her once we found out what medicine the vet prescribed as she may have it. We did and she said that the dog did not need the medicine that our vet prescribed. But again wanted us to give her the pup and she would take care of it. We feel that the pup's chances of proper treatment are better with us. Do not patronize this store.
