I grew up near here, and through high school, enjoyed training on the 'hillside' trail. It is a GREAT work out whether u choose to walk it or run! As a kid, I loved the 'natural' aspects of it - possiblities of seeing/catching lizards, or other crawly things.... not overly 'man-kept' but still hosts the occasional few benches to rest, cool your 'dogs', and take in the beauty of great outdoors. On the valley side nature trails, you're likely to see deer or other small 'woodsy' animals, as it typically is not overly crowded, and a couple of the trails crawl beside the creek.
There's also a nice pavillion or two for gatherings or simply a picnic lunch, along with a decent little playground, and surrounding open, field-type area to play and run, with partial shade. It's a great place to walk your dog, take your kids (or your 'honey') to, or go on your own for some solitude.

I had visited it with my two young boys last year. It was easy to get to off I 55 south of Arnold. There were nice walking trails and not so busy with people. There is a small science center inside for further details on the location and other topics of the era. Good to have a very unique site here in our area.
