Boardwalk Rides are open weekends! Buy your Ride Wristband online in advance, and save up to $20 per person! The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is recognized as the best seaside park in the world. Our vibrant, bustling amusement park is renowned for its great rides, remarkable history, spectacular beach setting, and friendly attitude. The Boardwalk has been operating since 1907, and it hasn’t missed a beat! We believe in affordable family fun - that’s why admission is free, summer entertainment is included, and ride tickets are affordable. Two of our rides are National Historic Landmarks, but don’t let that fool you. The 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster still thrills riders with its hair-raising dips and turns and the Looff Carousel's unique ring toss provides a surprising challenge. Our indoor arcades offer the largest selection of games in Northern California with the latest video and redemption games, pinball machines, a vintage game collection, a two-story miniature golf course, and a laser tag arena. There's also a family bowling center right across the street. Many people visit just for the food. Choices include corn dogs made from a secret family recipe, deep-fried artichokes, chocolate-covered bacon, and deep-fried Twinkies! The Boardwalk spans a wide sandy beach along Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary where it’s not unusual to see otters, dolphins, sea lions, and even whales swimming just offshore. Join us for a truly unique California beach experience!

A fun winter afternoon in the sunshine by the seashore!! Quite a few rides were open even for limited operations, with a reduced ticket price. A new winter break tradition!

It's a fun place to go. They have specials on certain nights so check them out before you make your trip. Lots of people. Never have been when it hasn't been crowded. Kids have a great time.

We come here every summer. The boardwalk is always fun to share with my son. The beach is family friendly. Lots of things to do. Parking lot across street.

A great place to visit with a nice beach and plenty of rides. A little expensive and a lot of people, but since not a regular go to place worth the price. The beach was nice.

Expensive but fun for the kids. Many rides weren't running, which surprised us since it was spring break. The people watching was entertaining. Food options were terrible.

Very Nice But Not For Men

This park is great for a date, the kids, or old people, but it is not worth it if you are looking for thrills.
Most fun things are "attractions" that cost $5 without a bracelet and $4 with one. Mine came with 2 tickets. They ran out quick and i had to pay for some games. It makes you wish they sold a just attractions bracelet.
Laser tag was fun for the kids and would be great with a girl or people who took it seriously but maturely.
The beach is nice if you have the time d are willing to hang there. Water is freezing. Weather is cold in the middle of July. Take a sweater.
Bowling is really fun and cost $4 a person. Take socks.
The rides have super long lines. Ride them at opening times at 10:00 or you will have to wait 20-25 mins each and they arent worth it. Same rides that six flags has scattered around their big rides. Only 3 semi big rides and one wasnt operating.
The snacks and food are great if you dont mind the premium price.
The high rope slow car ride is very romantic as well as the carousel. Combined with the vintage carnival look and exciting games like laser tag, bowling, arcade (pool, air hockey, minigolf) it makes for a great date spot. Just be ready to spend. $200 in the end. I like Six Flags better for the price but a girl may enjoy this just the same if you only walk around and do one or two things. It can be cheap.
Traffic gets bad after 1:00 especially on weekends. We left at 4:00 because everything got full. All in all, if you need something different or its your first time choosing a Theme Park, see this one first! Dont spend, and then go to Six Flags or Marriott's and it will be awesome. Thats what i would do.
