Grandview Little League

I played at Grandview growing up. Still live on east side (in PH). Kids play in Altoona. Took kids to see where I played LL. They enjoyed chasing foul balls for drink/popcorn tickets while there. When redeeming they got resistance from the Pat Turner who has been there for years. His thought was that the tickets weren't earned (tix were given to them - which they weren't). Are you kidding me? For him to give my 3 and 8 year old boys grief for redeeming tickets for catching returning foul balls which costs I'm guessing about $.08 or so in popcorn or fountain pop. It's a pretty inexpensive exchange for a $2-3 baseball. I offered to pay for these treats and the concession worker rolled his eyes at Turner (agreeing that he's petty and ridiculous). Some things never change. Until they do, me or my kids won't be back. Might be a reason why only 2 of their 7 fields were in use. Remove the problems and you'll see some improvements. Still brought back memories - but tainted now. Ridiculous!!!!
