The GODFREY HOUSE, built in 1849, is Minneapolis' Oldest Surviving Wood Frame House. It is located at the corner of University & Central Avenues SE, in Chute Square in Minneapolis. Tour the charming yellow Ard Godfrey house, with hostesses dressed in 1850s period costume. Restored by The Woman's Club of Minneapolis, it has been open to the public since 1979 Free Godfrey buttons for the kids. Tours are available June 4 - Aug. 28, 2016, Saturdays and Sundays, 1:00 - 4:00 pm. No admission fee is charged, but donations are welcome.
