The Columbia County Historical Society collects, preserves, interprets, and presents the history, heritage, and culture of Columbia County, New York, and serves residents of all eighteen Columbia County towns and, the city of Hudson. Seasonal exhibits display selections from the Historical Society's paintings--including portrait and landscape paintings, furniture and decorative arts collections, costumes and textiles, important and unique maps, archives and genealogical materials relating to Columbia County's heritage. The museum has a small art gallery downstairs and several connecting galleries upstairs.
