I am a new member of the Canvasback gun club I joined in December of 2007. During this year my whole family has joined the club from children to son inlaw we enjoy the club and feel at home there. This club has been impressing me ever since I started. We are always trying new ways to accomidate our visitors and guest. During the summer we added a new sporting clays field completly built by the membership on their own time. What a grand accomplishment and new venture for excitement!

We have had several open to the public events on the new course and reviews are all but positive. I woud reccomend anybody to come out and enjoy what this club has to offer. When I joined the club I wanted a way to have good safe fun! and not be forced into any strick rules. The club members have taken me and my family in as one of the family and they have spent time getting me back into the sport of trapshooting coaching training and even challenging me to improve my scores. This is a very family orientated club with 4H teams shooting once a week and open to the public events such as a steak roast every first Monday of the month with friendly shooting contest for the trapshooters.

This Club is truly a rising star in my book.

Open, Honest and Friendly!!

If you want to meet nice people , want to have a good time, and like doing things with friendly people, then I suggest you stop in and give this a try. Here you can find everything from sporting clays, archery and trap shooting, to monthly steak roasts and many other events. Here, they even have a Santa at Christmas and all proceeds are used for the needy! The local 4H club visits weekly and youngsters

have a great time.

A special Lady's Day weekend is planned for early July so give them a call or stop by for more info.

ENJOY!!!!!

I am surprized with what David had to say. I have visited Canvasback Gun Club a few times in the past and had a great time. The people from the Club made me feel very welcome. As far as Davids comments about the rudeness and drunkeness are concerned, I did not experence any of that. Canvasback Gun Club sponsered the Big 4-H shooting event (that members from our 4-H club attened), and I am certin that the 4-H parents would not put up with the type of behavier that David mentioned. The Club Hours are posted at the gate of the Gun Club so there shoud not be any question of when the public is welcome. If the public hours don't meet a non-members needs, all they have to do is join the Club and come and go as they please. I would strongly suggest Visiting Canvasback Gun Club to anyone who might be interested in a local Gun Club.
