Fox Meadow Winery

My husband and I visited last fall for the first time. It is a beautiful place. We are picky about our wines. We do not care for sweet wines. We like dry wines with complex flavors. We found one that we liked well enough to buy a bottle to take home. That says something! The people working there were friendly and helpful. We did not buy any food, but they gave us a cheese sample to go with the wine, which was great. We will definitely return.

Don't bother unless you are into obnoxious locals Apparently in Northern VA wine country folks haven't learned not to put their feet on the table I experienced a drunk woman put her dirty feet in my face while I was trying to eat (food is 3 cheese 2 cracker selections and hard sausage) When I objected by literally saying "could you please not put your feet in my face while I'm eating?" the ill-mannered woman yelled for "Dan" because she knows the owner Dan the owner thought the appropriate solution was for me and my party to move rather than to address his rude and clearly over-served regulars So unless you know Dan or were raised in a barn this place is not worth the drive from DC Nice views so sad I couldn't enjoy it
