Petland Albuquerque

Terri is awful, if something is wrong with the pet you buy from Petland than its not even worth going in about. All she will do is heat you up. I bought a bunny from Petland, an soon as I got into my vehicle with my bunny, it wouldn't stop sneezing. I talked the owner and she basically told me that it was all my fault "You're wearing to much perfume" "You are stressing him out way to much" "You aren't feeding him correctly" "You aren't using the right bedding"
If it wasn't one thing it was another. I ended up taking him to the vet and found out he was a she, and that she has snuffles(extremely contagious). After telling this to Terry so that she would be aware and possibly treat the other bunnies...she hung up on me. I used to only go to Pet land for everything even if it was more expensive. My family, friends, and I will now be taking our business elsewhere.

A lot of dead fish in the tanks. And last time I was there and I was allowed to hold one of the baby hamsters, the vicious little thing bit my pinky, broke skin, and drew blood.
They don't handle their small animals well.

Not sure what JJ. was talking about, Petland is always clean and the animals are very well taken care of. Great selection- the animals are young and very sweet and the staff is very helpful.

This shop is one that is very dirty and the animals are not very well cared for. The staff does not have a lot of knowledge and the owner is just plain rude.

If PetLand wasn't the only place that sold the type of food I need, I would shop somewhere else. Almost every time I have been there I have encountered incredibly rude staff. One of their employes always gives me the worst attitude whenever I go to just buy food. She is rude, gives dirty looks, and it is very obvious how 'inconvenienced' she is by checking me out. Most of the staff is never willing to help unless you ask and many aren't very knowledgeable. Not to mention their products are extremely overpriced. I feel bad for the animals of this store. I would give my business to someone else gladly if I could find the food I needed somewhere else.

After going into Petland to purchase some fish, we found many of the tanks had dead fish in them. Some fish had been there up to a day at least and being eating by the other fish and I am not talking about the feeder fish. We decided we would not buy and where confronted by the manager. She asked why and we told her the tanks where full of dead fish, we did not want to risk it. She got mad and told us that those where her tanks and she takes good care of them and not all the fish are expected to live from transport to her store. I do understand all of this, I have cared for fish for years, but you got to clean those tanks at least every hour and half in a pet store. With that many dead fish, if they all died in an hour and a half there is a problem and they are sick or they don't clean and check the tanks, its that simple and she has dead fish in there already decomposing and bloated out. I didn't want to fight with her on this, she was already having a personal fit, but if your a lazy person, you should not have pets and of they are too lazy to clean out a dead fish here and there, you shouldn't buy your birds, hamsters or anything from there, probably not clean.
