If you go in ask for Reggie. I have bought ansd sold items here in the past always getting a fair deal. but recently I went in looking for gifts for my grandchildren. Not only did he know his stuff he went the extra mile to help me make an impressive presentation.

This place used to be good. Now, with this guy named Michael or Mike. This place became just a joke. I went to the store to buy coins today using my lunch break I said Hello as I enter the store as usual. This guy just glanced at me once but didn't even say Hello, but continue working on the coins. After waiting for few minutes, I had to ask for the price of the coin as this guy is keep working on coins in front of the customer still. Obviously this guy lacks customer service? This guy was keep asking what is the price over spot for the coin. Oh well, You tell me. This guy didn't give me the price but keep asking for what price over the spot. I gave him the offier. Suddenly from nowhere he asked me to leave the store for no apprarent reason but saying I don't feel good today. Oh well,If you have bad day, do not come to work. It was worst service that I received from this store. I hope the owner comes back soon and so that I don't need to deal with this jerk there.

I have gone to this store on several occasions to sell coins from my dad's estate. The owner is very knowledgeable and fair - he offered me well above what anyone else would pay for silver dollars, eagles, etc. Not only that, but although he does not advertise buying scrap gold & silver he does and pays more than anyone around (I took the same bundle to several different dealers around the area and he offered the most). Some people have said he is not friendly, but everyone has a story and you just need to get to know him (and his dog Knox!) If you are looking for someone to kiss up to you, you can go somewhere else and pay for it, or you can get honest business and a good deal from a "regular" guy.

The owner has been only helpfu...

The owner has been only helpful to me. He knows his stuff, and maybe he expects you to do a little of your homework, but for good reason; the coin world is huge and many-faceted, and he knows a awfully lot about it. Is it asking so much for a beginner to read a little about it first and not waste the time of someone who is clearly at the other end of the game? I'm only responding to other posters here; never has the owner made me feel as though I was wasting his time. Then again, I've done the homework. Dallas Rare Coins is a one-of-a-kind place in a business with more dealers than you can count. You can learn a lot there, and you can pick up some fantastic coins at fair prices.

A Coin Shop for Real Collectors.

Great service and coins that can't be beat. I collect error coins and have always been offered discounts from 10% to 25%. I've been buying coins from Dallas Rare Coin for more than 15 years and have never had a problem. They always help me find the coins I want at a price I can afford. With coins from 50 cents to $50K+, this is my dealer for life!

Thanks for everything you've done for me and my error collection Jim!

Spolled coin dealer

This guy might know his coins, but makes you feel very stupid even if you do not ask a question. He makes a put on telling you that he sales this way and if you for that way not smart. Much of the time he ha air of "think your stupid" again I wrote that to make put that this guy does not really want your money. So do not buy from him.
