Bark And Purr

Yesterday we found two ticks on one of our dogs. We freaked out, got preventative meds right away and immediately took them for a tick and flea bath at Bark & Purr. When my wife went to pick them up, my dog's harness was in pieces. They did not have an explanation for my wife and said maybe he chewed it. I went today to ask for an explanation

- I asked them what happened and the woman said she didn’t know, but he probably chewed through it. This is an over the shoulder/back and across the chest harness so he could not have chewed through where his name is (on his back). She said they must have put it on him incorrectly and that allowed him to chew it. I pointed out that it was soaking wet when he came home, so they must have bathed him in it, so he couldn’t have chewed through it.

- Then she showed me the area where they keep the collars, in a basket attached to the front of his cage. She said he must have grabbed it and chewed through it. I said there was no way he could fit his snout through there to grab it, so that still didn’t make sense.

- I also pointed out the strap area where it looks like the strap is torn through the plastic buckle and that it looks like he was struggling or caught on something. She didn’t have anything to really say other than he must have gotten caught.

- The woman said she offered my wife a collar but she refused. We don’t need a collar. He was and still is wearing one. We wanted a new harness. She originally said she would reimburse me for half. She called the girl who bathed Ranger for an explanation but the girl didn’t answer. She said she would keep trying then get back to me.

- She also pointed out that she should have charged me $45 to bathe him, but only charged me $40. She said $40 over the phone, and $40 in person to my face. Had she wanted to negotiate, we could have.

- We have also done a body inspection and it looks like my dog has been shaved near his pubic area! We only brought him in for a bath, no actual grooming.

I'm so grateful with Minerva and the whole crew for all the support , the good care and dedication they have put on with my two dogs , Manuela she is grate Dane mix and my yorkie rocky .
Manuela boarded at bark and purr for three months and they took such a great care of her !!!, to my dear rescue rocky, I usually bring him for a regular grooming and he looks great !!

We boarded three rescue doggies here for 2 wks and 2 days. The two we got out of there have ticks all over them. One was stolen by the owner Minerva Mundo. She also committed fraud by trying to cover up her crime with fraudulent paperwork. She is saying the stolen dog went with a reputable rescue. That rescue did not receive the dog. We need our rescue dog back. He is a living, breathing, caring boy and needs to be returned. If you care for your animals, do not take them here. You may not get them back.

If you love your dog, don't bring him here.



Read the reviews here, on Google, Yelp, and elsewhere. You'll find that this place is known for transmitting disease because they don't require vaccination records.



I boarded two dogs here, and had them bathed. Apparently "bathe" means let them soak in urine and ammonia, because their after-bath smell was nauseating.



B and P also let one dog eat a huge wad of cloth, and the other dog had to have a $1000 eye surgery due to an injury that happened here, which B and P did not tell me about.



Over the phone, they yelled at me and told me blatant lies about how happy I was when I picked up the dogs.
