Waterford Gardens

My mother was happy here until she began her final decline. The owner and manager was bullinging, rude, and deliberately did not follow the instructions of hospice. They lied to us, and my husband, who tried to calm things down, explained that her organs were all failing and he had spent the last week with her in the hospital and she was very lucid and wanted to have it over. The owner told my husband " oh boo hoo hoo. You spent a week. I am an expert and been doing this for years. You need me to teach you. And your wife needs to stop being a baby and grow up." Yes. She actually said that!
Bear in mind that all holidays are spectacles. But not for the majority of the residents. They are aimed to the Winter Texans. Thousands of $$$ spent on decorations outside in the gardens. Crowds of guests( non-residents) show up for the free chili, desserts, and booze.
Meanwhile, most residents are watching TV in their rooms
