Our students come to The Martial Arts Training Institute to study martial arts for different reasons, and each comes to us with varying degrees of ability. While our Style is known around the world as one of the most powerful forms of martial arts with its dynamic kicking and hand techniques, students easily learn at their own pace and ability level so they reach their own personal goals. We take great pride in the fact that we have over 1,000 active members throughout our schools. We believe that we are able to continue to successfully grow our schools because our students realize that our mission is to teach self-defense while also fostering the personal development of each and every MATI student. We offer programs for adults and children, each fostering the development of integrity, self-control, confidence, perseverance, respect, loyalty and self-esteem. Self-Confidence - Achieving goals and knowing you have the ability and strength to defend yourself are great confidence boosters. Our instructors take their role seriously. At The Martial Arts Training Institute we believe that quality students come from quality instruction. In order to achieve quality instruction, we must have the best instructors. That's why Grand Master Irwin Carmichael personally selects our training staff and holds them to stringent standards for excellence in ongoing training, performance, instruction and attitude. Each of our nationally certified instructors are graduates of intensive training, and their methods are constantly improved and updated through continued training with Grand Master Carmichael.
