Professional, and an all around good company. They did a minor repair for me, and even though it was small furnace repair and small charge - they did not act like I was inconveniencing them for something so inexpensive. Not once did the technician try to sell another repair that I did not need. Thanks McCarthy!

I had a great experience with this business. They replaced some plumbing fixtures in my home and were very professional while completing the work. Also very prompt, nice, and knowledgeable.

I called McCarthy Services to have a furnace inspected in a condo unit. When the technician opened the door to the mechanical closet, and before he took the cover off the furnace, he said "I wouldn't have this thing in my house." When I asked him why, he said that the unit was unsafe and had a rusted heat exchanger. Again, this was before he took the cover off the unit. I know the unit is inefficient, but since the condo fee pays for the gas, I am not concerned about efficiency. When I told him that a previous tenant who was a HVAC technician for a rival company had inspected the unit and considered it safe, he responded "they are all a bunch of jerks -- they put people on the street with two weeks training."

He then proceded to tell me that I was putting people's lives in danger (again without looking at the unit) to save a few thousand dollars. It seems to me that he wasn't ineterested in making a diagnosis or recommending repairs -- he was trying to scare me into buying a new furnace. Steer clear of this one!
