American Pool Service

We have been using American Pool Service for 12 years to open and close our pool. 6 years ago they completely renovated our 1970s pool and we have been very happy. We have always received prompt and courteous service. The prior owner of our home had been using their service for at least 10 years before we moved in! They have been servicing our pool for at least 22 years!! Thank you American Pool!!

Undependable, unethical, alcoholics and drug users. I know them personally.
I'm an old family friend and these low lifes cheated me. They took my money (deposit) and NEVER did the work. I filed a lawsuit but only was awarded a portion of it because they lied and told the magistrate that they had did some work but not all when truthfully they did not do any.
The company was started and run for many years by the father who was a wonderful gentleman but the sons took over prior to his death several years ago and has run the company into the ground and only give poor service after they have been out drinking in bars all day. They can not keep employees because they cheat them out of their pay too.
Please, please, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICES.

My parents have used American Pool Service for years and I was very happy recently that they came to fix the pool quickly when the motor wasn't working. Our friends have also used them for years and are very happy with their service.

In October, 2013, I placed an order with American Pools for winterization and installation of a pool cover for my ingound pool. At that time, a deposit of $1000 was charged on my credit card and was told it would be approximately 3 weeks before installation.

Around early November 2013, several attempts were made to inquire about the date the pool would be winterized and the cover installed. During those phone conversations, I was never told that the cover wasn’t yet ordered, rather, I came home one day to find Greg Richardson measuring my pool for the cover. Obviously, the cover had not yet been ordered and the pool still needed to be winterized.

On Dec 3, 2013, nearly 8 weeks after taking my deposit, the cover was installed and the employees attempted to winterize the pool. By that time the pool had already frozen to the point where it could not be properly winterized. They even hooked up a garden hose from my utility tub so they could run hot water through the already frozen plumbing.

When I opened my pool in Spring of 2014, I discovered a stream of water coming out under the concrete decking. I immediately contacted American Pool Service Inc and was basically given the run around for several months- not returning call and even denying that they winterized my pool. Giving them a chance to resolve the issue, I used a backwash hose for my return line all summer long. After the season, I finally hired another company to fix the leaks-4 were found. The cost to fix those leaks was $2,014.74. Also, I have stamped, colored concrete decking and there are now 4 cut outs in my concrete that look like hideous patches.

I am currently in litigation with American Pool Service Inc trying to resolve this matter.

American Pools installed our pool 4 years ago. They are a realiable, trustworthy company who continues to service our pool every year. Our neighbor across the street used a slightly less expensive contractor and is so sorry he did; has had problems every year. We have and would continue to highly recommend them!
