Worthless garbage company. Owner is a piece of work beleive me. He and his office staff are totally rude. The packers stunk, the sales person is a scheister. The movers damged everything, including the house. What a waste of money!! How are they in business?? Both packers and Movers getting stoned in front of my house! Reeked like cigarettes and weed. All criminals and theives!!

Wonderful experience

I hired Chipman to move me locally in Spokane. They were professional and caring with my possessions. Steve was especially gentle with our old piano that has been passed down for three generations in our family. Everything was moved with kid gloves.

Chipman Moving is certainly a white glove mover. I would hire them again. In fact, I did. For my parents.

A Terrible Experience

PS - stilts101 is probably a relative of the owner......

We had a terrible experience with this mover! My parents (ages 78 and 80) hired this company to do all of their packing and then move them from Sandpoint, ID to Baltimore, MD. Their packers blatantly stole a very large light fixture - antique Italian glass chandelier. Also several tableclothes that belonged to my great-great grandmother. The largest tablecloth was valued at $700 and the light fixture at $500. They are refusing to reimburse us for this loss nor even admit that it was their staff who committed this theft even though the evidence is overwhelming. They are using the excuse that the items are not on our packing list but my mother called them to specifically ask them to add them on our list - she had inadvertantly left them off when they did the initial estimate. They told her not to worry, that the estimate was 'firm' and she would not be charged extra for the additional items. On the day of the move, she specifically told the packers about these items and pointed them out. The packers said that they would have to repack the items for safety. My mother agreed. That was the last we saw of them. The light fixture is very large - how can it have just disappeard? Now they are using the excuse that they are not on the packing list! This is totally ridiculous. Plus we received items that were supposed to be delivered to another household. Altogether a terrible experience. It is not possible to 'replace' a tablecloth that goes back 100 years in my family, but I want Chipman Moving and Storage to take responsibility for what happened. The people who bought my parents' house said that during the packers - a couple - stopped by their house and told them that they had seen someone take the box with the chandelier to a car. This is a boldfaced LIE. I was there. There was no one taking things out of the house except THEM and they KNEW these items were not on the packing list so they just figured they could get away with it. We are devastated - some of those tablecloths had handmade lace sewn by the women in my family and handed down for generations. We finally had to give up - Chipman just stonewalled us and told us we'd have to go through 'arbitration'. This would have meant traveling with my elderly parents back to Spokane from Baltimore! Don't hire these people!!!!!
