The Fix It Man Repairs

Worst paint job ever! The Fix It Man says he is color-blind AFTER he painted my bedrooms.I hired Mr. Libby to paint 2 small bedrooms & 1 small bathroom. He charged $1000. We were concerned about the cost, but he said it would be a professional job so he charged a little more.He said he was done after 1 coat, ALL the rooms looked horrendous! (see below)There are spots everywhere. He refused to do 2nd coat, saying it didn't need it. There was spots on all walls. I suspected he was not "himself". We spent the rest of the day putting tape where he missed. We aren't talking about a place here or there, there were streaks, areas completely missed, paint on the ceiling, and because he didn't tape anything off - paint on the trim in all 3 rooms, and paint several places on the floor in the bathroom that he didn't clean up before he left. I got taken for $1000. He said he would come back to fix the spots, but instead, he cashed the check without finishing. I contacted him and he said he would return $200.That's an illogical amount since he literally put one coat on, not 2, less than half of the job, if you consider the trim, ceiling and floor. The bid I received to paint a second coat in all 3 rooms, the ceiling in one room, the light switches, and the door trim in all 3 rooms, was much higher than $450 not including the paint for the ceiling and trim in 3 rooms. I forwarded him the bid. He never responded. Also, pertaining to the cost of the living room that he wanted to charge me $1000 to paint, paint not included, I hired another painter, with excellent reviews, who came highly recommended, and they charged me $200 for the living room, paint not included. They did 2 coats, not one, and it is beautiful. Mr. Libby says he is color blind professional painter. He saw an older woman that completely trusted him, definitely my fault, and took me for $1000, didn't do the work, didn't return, and cashed the check he shouldn't have cashed until the end of the job.
