North Valley Pediatrics

my family has been going to Dr Trunzo for 7 years. Dr Trunzo is a great Pediatrician however over the last few years the office and staff have been much less efficient and that makes it hard to think as highly of this clinic has I once had. Just recently i made an appt to get shots updated for both my kids. Because in the past when I have arrived to the office for shots, at least 1 of the shots where not in stock, so I would have to come back (get billed for the visit again) and have the other shot given) I called ahead and asked the receptionist to have the nurse look at the file and confirm that they had all the shots the kids needed. Called again to day before to see if that was done...no it had not been done...shots where missing and no one looked at the chart. I rescheduled the appt also asking that they look at the chart get the shots in before the appt. Called the morning of the appt...no one looked at the chart..still missing shots for both kids. When I expressed my aggravation (politely but matter of fact)...i was treated as though it was rediculous to have any reason for being frustrated. This process was over 2 weeks long and I poured my heart out to them explaining that we are leaving Phoenix and I really wanted to get my kids shots from the ped ofc that they were use to...it was of no importance to them to address my concern or apologize for obvious lack of professionalism. No return calls as should have been done to redeem trust and address issues that Im sure are not only concerns that I have had. It was sad to leave a Pediatrician's office after having been a family that bragged and referred families to Dr Trunzo for over 7 years. The staff have to be at least efficient...or it doesnt matter nearly as much if the Dr. is great or not. I've learned you need both in order to make the most out of our valuable time as parents taking care of our kids.
