The Learning Bee

We loved the school and the staff. My niece was always excited to go in the morning. She learned a lot and enjoyed her time there. She attended for three years until we moved. She returned for summer camp and was so happy to see all her teachers.

An Excellent Child Care Center! My son has been in the 4/5 room at The Learning Bee since Oct 2011, he looks forward to going to school to learn from his excellent teachers and to play with all his new friends. He especially enjoys the weekly science walks, the "Fun Bus" and all the other special activities the center and his teachers plan to enrich the childrens' education. I have found the owner, director, assistant director as well as the other teachers at the center I interact with on a regular basis to be friendly, helpful and loving towards the children. I would highly recommend The Learning Bee to parents who are looking to find child care for their children ages 6 weeks through school age including before and after school care as well as a special summer program. You will find they have an excellent curriculum including teaching simple sign language in the Infants I & II classes all the way to the special field trips the school age children take during the summer to enrich their education. C Culpepper (I've noticed that most of the negative reviews where from 2009-2010, apparently the center took those complaints seriously and made the necessary changes!)

When this place opened it was amazing. The teachers were great, the administration were wonderful. Almost 2 years later it is night and day from before. The director left, and they filled in with someone with no experience directing. The office staff often makes it seem like they are being bothered when you stop in to talk to them about a concern or a question. The teacher turn around is the worst I have ever seen. That place has a rotating door for teachers and they come and go weekly. This makes the classrooms very inconsistent. You never know who is going to be teaching and aiding in your class. This also makes it very hard on the children, who need consistency. The atmosphere feels very tense and you can just tell the workers are unhappy with how they get treated and shuffled around. The owner/director is hardly there and the other director is so busy trying to fill classrooms with teachers and referee the drama she isn't always available. I really wish this place would step up, get someone in who knows how to manage a daycare and can get it running the way it used to run. It is a real shame that so many great teachers walked out the door because they couldn't take the drama there anymore. Steer clear from this place until they get their act together- you don't want to make your child suffer for this place's inability to run itself.
