I was given a quote by Davids and an estimate of two to three days to install hardwood floors in my living room, dining room and hallway. After the first day the floors looked so good I decided I wanted to use new molding instead of reusing the old. I went and purchased and pre-painted the new molding. The next day I was informed that it would cost an additional $200 to install the new molding because it would take extra time to cut and install the new molding. They finished the entire job in a day an a half which is less than the original estimate so how much more time did it add to the job?



I was also charged an additional $100 for the bullnose that goes at the top of the stairs. According to the owner they missed that in their quote. After doing this for more than 10 years i would think it would be obvious that they needed this and if they missed it they should have eaten the cost.



While the finished product is nice find someone who will stick to the agreed upon price.
