Carney Counseling

I have been seeing Mike for two years now and am amazed at how far I have come with his help. Any sort of mental health issue is an ongoing and lifetime struggle and there are not any quick-fixes. Each person has a different struggle or battle they are fighting-- sometimes on a day-to-day basis. Mike is the kind of guy you want to talk to and feel comfortable doing so no matter if you are male or female. There is no pressure and no "and how does that make you feel?" (Though his couch is quite comfortable). You can talk about anything with him and if he doesn't completely understand, he will find out what he can by going that "extra-mile" so that he can help you as much as possible. He is very honest and genuinely wants to help you to be a healthier you. I have not regretted a single visit and I will continue to be his patient as long as he is practicing (hopefully for many, many more decades!). I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone to help get them through the struggles they are facing.
Major benefit for me? He has his own practice so no large anonymous waiting areas and he will actually remember you by what you have said to him and not by some notation in a chart. You can also usually get in to see him pretty quickly.
